CRASH OF AN A-24
AT AMBERLEY AIRFIELD, QLD
ON 11 JANUARY 1942
On 11 January 1942, a USAAF A-24 piloted by Lieutenant Boal was involved in an accident at Amberley airfield in Queensland. The aircraft suffered damage to the airscrew, oil scoop, flaps, and bottom fuselage. It was relocated to Archerfield after the crash.
