CRASH OF A P-40 KITTYHAWK
AT EITHER AMBERLEY OR ARCHERFIELD, QLD

On 13 February 1942, P-40 Kittyhawk, #41-5586. flown by 2nd Lt. K.S. Glassburn (Service number 0-425075) of the 13th Pursuit Squadron (Prov) nosed over on landing at either Amberley airfield or Archerfield airfield in southern Queensland. Reason undetermined.
Report 23/02/42 RAAF A93 Form. Another source indicates this accident may have been at Newcastle, on the same date
