THE INCHOLM,
73 WICKHAM TERRACE,
BRISBANE, QLD,
VISITED BY GENERAL DOUGLAS MACARTHUR
DURING WWII
![]()
General Douglas MacArthur is reported to have visited "The Incholm" at 73 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane to visit his personal physician during WWII. For many years "The Incholm" was a Medical Chamber full of specialist doctors.
In 1999 "The Incholm" was sold and turned into a boutique hotel owned by the Quality Hotel chain. The building is full of silky oak wall panelling and doors. The build still has a fully operational 1920's type New York style cage lift.
Can anyone help me with more information on MacArthur's visits to this building?
