My father - John Robert Gardner - was a Pilot Officer in 460 Squadron. I believe you have his name spelt correctly. Unfortunately in Peter Firkin's book "Strike and Return" in the list of aircrew the "d" in Gardner was omitted. My father is alive and well and living in Canberra.
