The RAAF established No. 16 Inland Aircraft Fuel Depot Goulburn (No. 16 IAFD) at Lake Bathurst in New South Wales in 1942. It remained in use until 29 August 1944.
No. 16 IAFD is situated alongside the Goulburn to Canberra railway line near Tarago, some 40kms from Goulburn. Lake Bathurst is in fact the IAFD location for Goulburn.
