Can't help you with info on 33 Squadron but am interested to learn more about an uncle of mine who was lost off Milne Bay 10 September 1945.
His name was F/Lt Frank Mulcahy. Frank served with the RAAF from 1941 until he was presumed dead, from what I know neither he nor his plane has ever been found. From his service record he was on a non-operational flight and from family talk, it is said he was flying entertainers either to or from, but I haven't been able to locate any information.
Perhaps you could find somewhere in your web pages to list him with the hope that he is remembered. He served at 8EFTS, 2SFTS, 1BAGS, CFS, 10EFTS, 1AFRU, 243 Sqdn and 33 Squadron (his last one).
Many thanks
Cecile Sartori
Can anyone help me with more information?
