CRASH OF A DH-86
AT GERALDTON, WA
ON 24 JUNE 1945

On 24 June 1945, MacRobertson Miller de Havilland DH-86A VH-USF "Melbourne" crashed at Geraldton in Western Australia on 24 June 1945. 

This aircraft was originally registered in January 1935.It became Qantas "Melbourne". It was cancelled off the civil register when it was impressed by the RAAF as A31-6 on 28 September 1940. It was returned to Qantas in April 1942 and then back to the RAAF in October 1944. It then served with MacRobertson Miller from May 1945 until it crashed on 24 June 1945.
