CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT GUILDFORD AIRFIELD, WA
ON 9 OCTOBER 1944

Boomerang A46-52 of 85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by W/O G.S. Cuming, crashed while landing at Guildford airfield on 9 October 1944. The Boomerang swung off the runway and wiped out the undercarriage due to the tail wheel not being locked for landing.
