CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT AN UNKNOWN LOCATION, WA

Boomerang A46-97 of 85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by F/Sgt Halliday, ran off the runway when it lost its brakes and damaged the electric flare path at an unknown location in Western Australia on 12 June 1944. The aircraft received minimal damage.
