CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT YANCHEP, WA
IN NOVEMBER 1943

Boomerang A46-74 of 85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by P/O John Doyle, hit a drogue during gunnery exercises at Yanchep in Western Australia on an unknown date in November 1943. The fuselage and windscreen were damaged in the impact but the pilot managed to land the Boomerang safely.
