CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT GUILDFORD, WA

Boomerang A46-72 of 85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Sgt. J.W. Shoesmith made a wheels up landing at Guildford airfield in Western Australia on 6 July 1943. The undercarriage had failed to lower properly. The propeller and flaps were damaged during the crash landing.
