CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT POTSHOT, WA
ON 1 JULY 1943

Boomerang A46-78 of 85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by F/O J.G. Johnston overturned while landing at Potshot airfield in Western Australia in a cross wind. He swerved to try to avoid hitting a truck and lost control. The pilot injured his shoulder in the crash. The aircraft was structurally damaged.
