CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT POTSHOT, WA
ON 15 MAY 1943

Boomerang A46-28 of 85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by F/Sgt. Felgenhaur, swung while taking off at Potshot airfield in Western Australia on 15 May 1943. The aircraft ran off the runway into the nearby scrub. The propeller was damaged. There was also some other superficial damage. Metal was found in the oil screen a few days later and the engine was subsequently changed.
