CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT GUILDFORD, WA
ON 14 MAY 1943

Boomerang A46-67 of 85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Sgt. J.W. Shoesmith, tipped on its nose when the brakes were applied at Guildford airfield in Western Australia on 14 May 1943. The aircraft then fell back down heavily to the ground. The aircraft sustained damage to two blades of its propeller.
