CRASH OF A KITTYHAWK
AT MILDURA AIRFIELD
ON 28 JULY 1943

Kittyhawk A29-60 of No. 2 Operational Training Unit (2OTU), RAAF, piloted by Sgt. R.J. Chambers, crashed his aircraft after landing at Mildura airfield at 1245 hours on 28 July 1943.

The Aircraft Accident Data report described the incident as follows:-

"After landing run, pilot taxied off runway into a boggy part of the aerodrome, the wheels sank, and the a/c nosed over."
