CRASH LANDING OF A WIRRAWAY
AT MILDURA AIRFIELD, VIC
ON 26 NOVEMBER 1945

On 26 November 1945, Flying Officer Leo Francis Kilgariff (407333) flying in Wirraway A20-495, belly landed the aircraft at Mildura Airfield in Victoria due to undercarriage problems. Flying Kilgariff and his passenger Flying Officer Lock were both uninjured.
Wirraway A20-495 was involved in an earlier wheels up belly landing at Mildura on 20 March 1945.
