CRASH OF A FAIREY BATTLE
1/2 MILE NW OF NO. 4 GUNNERY RANGE
NEAR WEST SALE, VIC
ON 5 JUNE 1943

Fairey Battle K9362 of 3  B.A.G.S. West Sale in Victoria crashed and burst into flames 1/2 mile N.W of No. 4 Gunnery Range  on 5 June 1943.

The aircraft had just completed a run past the target at a height of 200ft the aircraft and made a right hand turn. Just at this point it was observed that flames were coming from the engine. It subsequently crashed.
