CRASH OF AN AVRO ANSON
HALF A MILE FROM AMBERLEY AIRFIELD, QLD
ON 15 FEBRUARY 1942

On 15 February 1942, Avro Anson W2211 of 3 SFTS Amberley had an engine failure after taking off from Amberley Airfield at about 1600 hours. The aircraft stalled and crashed when the pilot LAC John Malcolm Alexander Stirling (408711) attempted to turn back to the airfield. The pilot, LAC Stirling was killed.
The Accident report shows that there were no other crew members on board.
Can anyone help me with more information on this crash?
