CRASH OF AN AVRO ANSON
3 MILES NORTH OF BERAJONDO, QLD
ON 7 OCTOBER 1943

At 0850 hours E.A.S.T. on 7 October 1943, Avro Anson AW-675 of 8 Service Flying Training School 8 SFTS at Bundaberg, made a forced landing after the failure of the starboard engine during low level flight at a location 3 miles north of Berajondo, which is located approximately 35 miles north west of Bundaberg in Queensland.

The pilot F/Sgt. John Charles Paterson (411943) and LAC Jordan Leslie Rodgers (434316) were both uninjured.
