CRASH OF A GIPSY MOTH
AT ARCHERFIELD AIRFIELD,
BRISBANE, QLD,
ON 21 MARCH 1941

Gipsy Moth A7-85 of 2 Elementary Flying Training School 2 EFTS at Archerfield, crashed at Archerfield Airfield, Brisbane at 0812 hours on 21 March 1941. The aircraft stalled at approximately 15 feet and crashed whilst attempting to land. The Probable Cause was listed as "Inexperience of pupil pilot - held off too high".

The right lower longeron was broken. An undercarriage attachment fitting was broken. The airscrew was also broken. The pilot, LAC Harry Ernest William Cooper (404954), received slight abrasions to the nose.

Can anyone help me with more information on this crash?
