Tiger Moth
Tiger Moth A17-352 of 2 Elementary Flying Training School 2 EFTS at Archerfield, crashed at Archerfield Airfield, Brisbane at 0855 hours on 4 December 1941. The aircraft stalled at 200 feet after taking off, and swung to port and crashed. The Probable Cause was listed as "Poor technique". The pilot LAC William Raymond Swift (413276) was uninjured. There was extensive structural damage. The undercarriage was destroyed. Both lower mainplanes were damaged. The engine was thrown out of the aircraft.
