FORCED LANDING OF A MOTH MINOR
5 MILES NORTH EAST OF AYR, QLD

Moth Minor

RAAF DH-94 Moth Minor A21-25 of No. 24 Squadron, in Townsville made a forced landing 5 miles north east of Ayr in north Queensland following engine failure at 1410 hours on 6 November 1940. The location was about 50 miles south east of Townsville.

The pilot, Pilot Officer James Lewis Neil MacMillan (250738) and his passenger, Corporal James Stirling (24240) were both uninjured.
