CRASH OF A NORTH AMERICAN OA-47
AT ARCHERFIELD AIRFIELD,
BRISBANE, QLD
ON 8 FEBRUARY 1942

North American OA-47, Serial No. 37-282 (c/n NA25-225), piloted by Lt. H. Maull, had an accidental nose over incident at Archerfield Airfield in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on 8 February 1942. The aircraft was attached to the 21st Troop Carrier Squadron, USAAF.
This OA-47 was one of ten that were delivered to Australia on board the USS Hammondsport (APV-2).
