CRASH OF A DOUGLAS A-24-DE DAUNTLESS
AT REDBANK, QLD
ON 31 JANUARY 1942

Douglas A-24-DE Dauntless #41-15808, piloted by 2nd Lt. Parker of the 27th Bomb Group, 3rd Air Force crash landed at Redbank west of Brisbane in south east Queensland on 31 January 1942 after engine failure. The remains of the aircraft were salvaged as per Report dated 8 March 1942 and was officially condemned on 7 November 1942.
