DESTRUCTION OF A B-26 MARAUDER
AT GARBUTT AIRFIELD, TOWNSVILLE, QLD
ON 4 JUNE 1943

B-26 Marauder #40-1522 of the 408th Bomb Squadron, 22nd Bomb Group, blew up and burned after oxygen was put into the air brakes during overhaul at the No. 2 Depot near Garbutt airfield in Townsville.
