CRASH OF A KITTYHAWK
AT GARBUTT AIRFIELD

Kittyhawk A29-1123

At 1450 hours on 23 May 1946, RAAF Kittyhawk, A29-1123 of C.M.U. Oakey, flown by F/O L.R.V. Banks (28560) made a forced landing at Garbutt airfield in Townsville after engine trouble. The pilot was uninjured.
