CRASH OF A LOCKHEED HUDSON
AT RAAF DARWIN AIRFIELD, NT
ON 26 MAY 1941

On 26 May 1941, Lockheed Hudson A16-69, of 13 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Flying Officer Ronald Graham Cornfoot (250630), ground looped at the end of its landing run at RAAF Darwin Airfield, bursting its starboard tyre and damaging the wheel. The probable cause was due to seizure of the brakes.
The crew was as follows:-
