CRASH OF A LOCKHEED HUDSON
RAAF DARWIN AIRFIELD, NT
ON 1 APRIL 1941

On 1 April 1941, Lockheed Hudson A16-8, of 13 Squadron RAAF, piloted by 68 W/C John Raeburn Balmer, forced landed at RAAF Darwin Airfield due to a loss of fuel pressure in the port engine. The plug at the base of the carburettor was found unscrewed.
The crew was as follows:-
