CRASH OF A P-40 KITTYHAWK
ON DARWIN BEACH
DARWIN, NORTHERN TERRITORY
ON 10 MAY 1942

P-40 Kittyhawk #38 (41-35941, ET596) piloted by Lieutenant Linder, of the 8th Pursuit Squadron, 49th Pursuit Group, USAAF, crashed on a Darwin beach in the Northern Territory on 10 May 1942. The pilot was not seriously injured.
