CRASH OF A VULTEE VENGEANCE
NEAR WILLIAMTOWN AIRFIELD, NSW
ON 14 SEPTEMBER 1943

On 14 September 1943, RAAF Vultee Vengeance A27-31, of 4 OTU ORB, was taking part in dive bombing exercises at Williamtown airfield. The aircraft exploded in mid-air and crashed. Sgt J H Robertson pilot, and F Sgt D Sinclair navigator, were both killed.
