CRASH OF A P-40E KITTYHAWK
AT WILLIAMTOWN, NSW
ON 2 FEBRUARY 1942

At 0920 hours on 2 February 1942 , USAAF P-40E Kittyhawk, #41-5462, damaged its propeller on landing at Williamtown airfield, NSW. The pilot was 2nd Lieutenant B.W. Headrick 0-406547 (possibly Omar W. Headrick) of the 9th Pursuit Squadron, 49th Pursuit Group. The report indicated "awaiting supply prop for local repairs".
