CRASH OF A SIKORSKY KINGFISHER
NEAR WANGI POINT, NSW
ON 7 DECEMBER 1943

RAAF Sikorsky Kingfisher, A48-7, of 107 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Flying Officer K. Drury flipped over and sank during take-off near Wangi Point, New South Wales on 7 December 1943. Drury's navigator on this flight was Flight Sergeant A. Larsen. Both crew members were uninjured.
Due to extensive salt water damage the aircraft was written off and used for component parts.
