CRASH LANDING OF A P-40E
KITTYHAWK
AT WILLIAMTOWN, NSW
ON 13 FEBRUARY 1942

P-40E FY Kittyhawk #41-5586 Black #184 piloted by 2nd Lt Ken L. Glassburn USAAF #0-425075 from "A" Flight 13th Pursuit Squadron (Provisional), was damaged when it nosed over on landing at Williamtown airfield in New South Wales on 13 February 1942.
2nd Lt Glassburn suffered concussion and a broken wrist. The aircraft was on a ferry flight to Maylands in Western Australia for loading onto USS Langley. The aircraft was repaired and transferred to the RAAF as A29-27.
