CRASH OF A KITTYHAWK
AT WENTWORTH BOMBING RANGE, NSW
ON14 DECEMBER 1944
 

 

On 14 December 1944, P-40 Kittyhawk, A29-176 of 2 OTU Mildura, was involved in dive bombing exercise at Wentworth bombing range in New South Wales. The aircraft went into a spiral dive and never recovered killing F/Sgt Kenneth Edward Hepburn.
