CRASH OF A KITTYHAWK
AT 2 OTU MILDURA, VIC ON 15 OCT 1943
AND THEN AGAIN AT WILLIAMTOWN, NSW ON 10 JANUARY 1944

P-40E Kittyhawk, A29-138 (#41-35949) crashed at Williamtown in New South Wales on the 10 January 1944 after it had a burst fuel pipe which caused the engine to seize.
This aircraft was involved in an earlier landing accident with 2 OTU at Mildura in Victoria on 15 October 1943 due to "poor technique" by the student pilot.
