CRASH OF A P-40E KITTYHAWK
AT CANBERRA, ACT
ON AN UNKNOWN DATE POSSIBLY IN 1942

On an unknown date in 1942, USAAF P-40E Kittyhawk, Serial No. #41-388, piloted by Mr. L.B. Marks, was involved in an accident at Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory. It sustained damage to the oil and prestone coolers, ailerons, and flaps, left wing, landing gear, propellor and belly cowling. It was relocated to Geelong in Victoria after the crash.
