Hello,
A very informative and interesting site, thankyou.
I am particularly interested in the mention of the anti aircraft battery at McLellands lookout, Paluma. And the US transmitter site at Witts lookout, Paluma. The links to these do not appear to be functional on your site yet, but I wonder if you have any information on these installations.
I would be most greatful for a reply.

Dear Peter,
Thankyou for your prompt reply.
Sadly there appears to be no remnants of these emplacements, save some concrete blocks of unknown vintage, lol.
I will however, now try to access the archives of the local environmental centre for some historical data, but fear that this is likely to be fruitless, as I had tried before. The JCU library may be a better place to look.
In any event, I will keep you appraised of any information forthcoming.
Yours sincerely

Can anyone tell me the name
of the units
that were based at these sites?
Can anyone help me with more information?
