Dear Sirs,
My father, Fred Rogers was a pilot with the 38th Bombardment Group, 405th squadron during WWII. He was KIA during one of their missions when their B-25 went down around New Guinea. My sister and I are the only living relatives (besides our children) and would truly appreciate any information, pictures, or whereabouts of someone who might have known him. Our mother remarried 3 years after "Daddy Fred" died and he was not talked about much.
I know the plane he flew was named "The Lewd Lady" and I believed him to have made 1st Lt. before he died. His serial # is: 0-350442.
If you or anyone you know could be of any help please contact me at my e-mail address.
Thanking You Heros for Our Freedom!
Sincerely,
Carol Ann Rogers-Hawkins
Can anyone help me with more information?
