HUDSON INVOLVED
IN A LANDING ACCIDENT
AT CORUNNA DOWNS, WA
ON 29 MAY 1943

On 29 May 1943, Mark III Lockheed Hudson A16-217 (FH192), of 2 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Mr. Wharlow-Davies, was involved in a landing accident at Corunna Downs in Western Australia.

A16-217 was delivered to the RAAF in April 1942. It was converted to components in March 1944.

Looking at your web site on the plane landing accident on Corrunna Downs station , the location on the web page is wrong ,the proper location of this station is 31 kms south of Marble Bar, in Western Australia not in the Northern Territory as stated on this page, as I worked on Corrunna Downs for 7 years, and visited the landing strip many times looking for mortor cases made of brass, I thought I would let you know this is the correct location, thanking you very much
