BOOMERANG CRASHED
INTO THE SEA AT NORTH BOUCAUT BAY
ON 29 MAY 1944

 

Model CA-13 Boomerang, A46-159 (CAC Constructor's No. 982) of 83 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Mr. Pugh, crashed into the sea at North Boucaut Bay (11' 24" by 134' 32") on 29 May 1944 while on convoy duty.

The aircraft had been delivered to the RAAF in November 1943.
