CRASH OF A BEAUFORT
NEAR MILLINGIMBI, NT
ON 19 JUNE 1944

A Mark VIII Beaufort, Serial No. A9-392 of 1 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Mr. Falconer, had a landing accident near Millingimbi in the Northern Territory on 19 June 1944. The aircraft was salvaged by 4 RSU-482 Maintenance Squadron in July 1944. This aircraft had been delivered to the RAAF in July 1943.
