CRASH OF A VULTEE VENGEANCE
PROBABLY AT BATCHELOR, NT
ON 10 JUNE 1943

 

 

Vultee Vengeance

 

At 1220 hours, on 10 June 1943, Vengeance A27-202 of 12 Squadron RAAF, force landed on the strip at Batchelor? (not confirmed) while it was under repair. The pilot did not go-round due to insufficient hydraulic pressure to raise wheels and flaps. Damage (if any) unknown. The pilot was Squadron Leader Hooper and his crewman was Flying Officer Richardson.
