CRASH OF A CATALINA
BETWEEN SUVA AND RATHMINES
IN FEBRUARY 1945

Catalina #48279 ? crashed between Suva and Rathmines during a ferry flight from the USA in February 1945.

The Catalina was still in USA military markings at the time of the crash.

The following crew were killed in this accident:-

F/Lt. P.L.B. Marsh
F/O A.G. Durst
F/O R.M. Hamilton
P/O G. Ireland
Sgt. W.G. Drew
