Heatley's Dance Hall was located on the first floor of the Heatley's Department
Store which can be seen behind the Everyman's Hut.
Access to the dance
hall was via Sturt Street. Heatley's Department Store itself was located on
the ground floor and was accessed via Flinders Street.

Mavis Ivers recalls Heatley's Dance Hall as a fairly big hall. They would hold old time dances there, eg Pride of Erin, Waltz, Barn Dance , Gypsy Tap, etc.
