Dear Sir or Madam

I am trying to help my sister-in-law to find out about he dad. He was an American service man who was in Townsville in 1944-45. His name was Truman Flower or Flowers. He was either a corporal or a sergeant. She has a very poor old box Brownie photo of him, but it is so poor we have been unable to get a clear enlargement of it. If we can just prove that he was in Townsville then it would be a help for us.
