Dear Peter:
My father was with the 19th Bomb Group, 93rd Squadron station at Mareeba, Australia during 1942 thru 1943 when the unit was sent back to the states. I have his photos of the base and crew of the Suzy-Q, if you are interested I can scan them in and send them to you. I also have photos of Townsville and Rockhampton that he picked up when he was on leave their. My father was on the ground crew and said that he worked on the Suzy-Q.
I am also looking for any information on 93rd Squadron mainly the Suzy-Q.
Also I have photos from my father in law who was station on New Guinea at Nadzab, Buka and the Philippines with the 68th Troop Carrier I believe.
If this is of any interest please contact.
Thanks
Chuck Montgomery
