My name is actually Margaret, David is my husband.

MD stands for Maryland. Yes I can provide more about early Caples or Capell or as in our branch it became Caple. It looks as though the Maryland branches came from England. Most of my early Caple information has come from a book called "History and Genealogy of the Caples family and Allied Families of Maryland compiled by Almaried Moore Edwards 3rd edition revised by Dorothy Caples Thompson fourth edition edited and redorganized by C. Walter England Ph.D.,C.G. Published by Dorothy Caples Thompson and C. Walter England 1984. The book is available at the Library of Congress Wa. D.C. and at the Hall of records in Annapolis Maryland. I don't have the whole book but do have the first 26 pages dealing with the early Maryland families. In the back of the book they do refer to another group of Caples who came from Ireland in the 1800's. Are you from Ireland?
