NO. 6 OTU, BASE TORPEDO UNIT,
AND R.A.A.F. BEAUFORT TORPEDO OPERATIONS

No. 6 Operational Training Unit RAAF (6 OTU) commenced operation on 25 April 1943. On the 8 June 1943 over 200 administrative, instructional and maintenance personnel from the Base Torpedo Unit were transferred to No. 6 OTU.

This excellent book by John Lever covers the history of 6 OTU and the role of the Beaufort bomber for Torpedo operations in the RAAF. The book also covers stories about 100 Squadron RAAF.
