MURCHISON EAST AIRFIELD,
2 MILES FROM MURCHISON EAST, VIC
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WWII

In 1942 the Allied Works Council built two runways for the Murchison East Airfield located on the main Shepparton Highway about 2 miles from Murchison East in Victoria. Each bitumen runway was 50 yards long and over one mile long. Murchison East was a subsidiary to Tocumwal Airfield.
