![]()
Irene Sheppard was a WAAF attached to 460 Squadron at RAF Binbrook. Her son Mike Wainwright believes she was in the Operations Room. Her nickname was "Inky".
Does anyone remember "Inky"?
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I'd like to thank Mike Wainwright, who is researching the events surrounding the loss of his father's Lancaster, with 44 Squadron RAF in 1944. Whilst doing this research he came across his mother's photos of her time with 460 Squadron at RAF Binbrook.
Can anyone help with more information?
